Through production of the Nissan e-NV200, Nissan has created an electric commercial vehicle that is functional, reliable, and capable of achieving all the functions of a professional vehicle.
As well as providing numerous vital utilities for workplace usage, the e-NV200 also contributes towards a cleaner future through producing zero harmful emissions. Nissan has used the same technology for the e-NV200 as was used for the Nissan LEAF personal vehicle, to give this van a high level of sound reduction. Engine noise has been removed, as has engine vibration, providing a quiet and smooth journey to every work situation.
Nissan has given the e-NV200 a smooth and contemporary design which makes use of a streamlined appearance. This also has aesthetic appeal as well as practical use in reducing wind lag. Exterior improvements include a re-profiled bumper, as well as wider front wings. Motorists can choose from steel alloy wheels in 15-inch versions, and can customise the body paint in any one of eight different exterior colours.
Within, the e-NV200 has an impressive interior cargo capacity of 3,474 litres, perfect for carrying professional items and tools. The load height is 520mm, and 60/40 split rear doors ease the process of loading cargo. Five people can be seated within the e-NV200, and there will still be available luggage space at the rear. Nissan has provided a cabin that is focused on comfort and time-saving additions for the professional driver. Class-leading legroom combines with the high, truck-like seating to give interior space that provides superb visibility of the road outside. There is a centre instrument panel that communicates vital drive information such as range, battery charge status, and energy usage. Nissan's CARWINGS advanced telematics system is included, and can be smartphone-linked to give functions such as digital tracking, and the exchange of important fleet data.
On a single charge, the e-NV200 has the potential to travel 106 miles. Charging can take place at home with a domestic plug and cable, and this process will take approximately ten hours. Alternately, a four-hour charge can be used through the fast charge system, and the rapid charge option allows 80 percent of the battery to be charged within half an hour if required.
Safety features include a driver's airbag, as well as a number of drive safety assistant systems to give full stability control at all times. These include Anti-lock Braking System (ABS), which works alongside the Electronic Stability Programme (ESP) with traction control.
