Through the production of the Vauxhall GTC, Vauxhall has brought an exciting sports-focused vehicle to the modern vehicle market.
Created with an emphasis on providing excitement and thrills on every journey, the GTC is truly a racecar in the guise of a domestic road car. Vauxhall's renowned dynamic performance is evident in the GTC, as is the attention to detail that motorists expect from the brand. Striking details catch the eye, and you can expect a dynamic ride every time you take the wheel of the GTC. There are four models to choose from in the range: GTC Sport, Limited Edition, SRi and BiTurbo.
Ground-hugging lines and powerful shaped alloys complement the overall sculpting of the GTC, which could be considered a practical and functional work of art. No passer-by is capable of looking at the GTC without admiring its power and potential. Driver-focused dynamics combine with the precision sports chassis, and are aided by the vehicle's honed streamlined design. This removes wind lag, and gives a more responsive and aerodynamic nature to the drive experience.
The interior of the GTC is just as sports-focused as the exterior, with the dashboard clear and uncluttered and the upholstery formed from high-quality materials. Strong lines and defined textures complement the vehicle's proud contours and GTC detailing, with its agile, compact exterior giving little clue as to its spacious interior. FlexRide chassis settings are available, providing 'Sport' and 'Tour' drive options. These settings sharpen the speed-sensitive steering response, and make use of Continuous Damping Control technology to bring the driver a unique experience on the road.
Motorists can choose from 1.4-litre VVT Turbo engines up to 2.0-litre CDTi versions, depending on personal preference and model. Certain options employ Vauxhall's ecoFLEX and Start/Stop technology, which lower emissions and increase fuel economy. Top speeds of 137mph are achievable with the 1.6 litre petrol unit, as is 0-62mph acceleration in 8.3 seconds. The 1.6 litre CDTi engine, meanwhile, offers combined fuel consumption of 72.4mpg, and CO2 emissions of 104g/km.
An impressive range of safety features is installed as standard, such as front, side and curtain airbags as well as a reinforced passenger safety cell with pre-defined deformation zones. Vauxhall consumers also have the choice of additional safety systems, such as Traffic Sign Recognition (TSR), Lane Departure Warning (LDW), and Forward Collision Alert (FCA).
